An unusually high number of building sales in Q2 led the Hartford market - seven sizeable office deals totaled more than 1.5 million square feet.
Despite investor demand and confidence in the greater Hartford, the office leasing fundamentals showed some weakness during Q2 2019 with 273,530 sq. ft. of negative absorption. Vacancy decreased to 17.6% while availability increased to 22.2%. Average rental rates rose to $19.80 per sq. ft.
