We lead the way in sustainable transformation of the sector

Approximately 30% of energy consumption is attributable to the building stock. In addition, the construction of real estate has one of the largest CO2 footprints due to the intensive use of energy in its manufacture. CBRE manages on behalf of its clients more than 2.5 billion sqm globally, for which we already offer solutions to accompany them on their journey towards zero net emissions.

CBRE Commitment

CBRE has announced a commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040, not only in emissions from our own operations, but also from the properties we manage for investors and occupiers. In addition:

  • 68% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions from global operations by 2035 from 2019 levels.
  • 79% reduction in emissions per square foot in the facilities we manage for occupiers by 2035.
  • 67% reduction in emissions per square foot at facilities we manage for owners by 2035.
  • 100% renewable electricity by 2035, including conversion of our fleet to electric vehicles.
